VERY good advice, and actually this is good advice for anywhere you may travel.....in MANY places you will run into those who would take advantage of a tourist's confusion over exchange rates, and either way over charge for a product or give incorrect change, or both. Every traveler should take time to educate themselves on the currency, exchange rates, and typical prices, AND if you have questions ASK - while shopkeepers may take advantage of your naivete, few will outright lie about money and prices, and most will help you if you ask them to.
