Excellent photo of Graveyard Fields! In my opinion it is one of the most magical spots on the Blueridge Parkway. (We, in fact, just named out band after it!)

DES: Thanks for your comments. We used to have muscadines growing in our yard in SC, too, and my dad made muscadine wine in the basement, so catching their scent at the Farmer's Market brought back memories. Hope you enjoy your trip this weekend!

And regarding the rugs.... we were talking with the familiy about helping them get their rugs online. There are some logistical issues we've asked them to take into consideration regarding setting up a website, but if you're interested, I'd be happy to give you their direct contact information.

We live in Georgia and I know those roads. I have muscadines growing in my front yard. We are heading up to the mountains to camp this weekend and enjoy the changing leaves. As always, love your photography.

Thank you. I am now officially homesick. =)
Beautiful photos. I was worried that the drought would ruin the foliage, but I see I was dead wrong. Glad to hear it.
When you have more time, head to Dupont State Forest between Asheville and Hendersonville. Easy trails and some beautiful falls.

I visited the Great Smokies for the first time last fall. Gorgeous! I didn't know about the Asheville Farmer's Market, unfortunately.
