Psst. Want to hear a secret?
Paris is NOT the city of love.
“Amor” may not be the first word that comes to mind when you think about Mexico City, but as I walk around my adopted hometown, I’m struck by how many people are in love… and how many people aren’t afraid to show it.

Lola- My favorite is the last one. And if anyone asks me why I’m such a photographic voyeuer now, I have to give you credit! I went from being a full-fledged photo phobe to being utterly shameless (albeit with a telefoto).

Love these! I’m not even going to challenge you Mexico City stealing the title from Paris

Latinos have that fiery soul to them. Passionate. mmmm.
Paris isn’t the city of love, it’s actually the city of lights!

Paris has at least two nicknames: city of lights and city of love. I’d also say it’s the city of cheese. And in that respect, Mexico City can’t compare. But in love… the two are neck in neck. No pun intended.

What a LOVEly post! Wonderful photos. Actually Mexico has always been on my wish list to go.
I’ve been to Paris and even though it was there my hubby proposed to me, I must agree with you, Paris is not the city of romance. We didn’t see love couples there at all.
If you’re interested I wrote about Paris a while ago:
Paris butt no Hilton
Happy travels

Thanks, Lifecruiser! Stay tuned– if Mexico’s still on your wish list, I have an opportunity I’ll be announcing tomorrow on the website that may interest you!

Fantastic photos. It’s a national holiday week in China. Out yesterday, I noticed all the lovers in a local park, looking similar to your photos. And me without a camera.

Thanks! I’m sure that was one of the only times you’ve been without your camera, right? It always happens that way. The one day you don’t bring your camera, that’s the day you miss some incredible scenes!
